One of the key steps in this preparation is to obtain a <strong>Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA)<\/strong>. Here's a step-by-step guide to submitting an eTA application for Sri Lanka, using official channels and avoiding potential pitfalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is an eTA?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The eTA is a compulsory electronic travel document for all travellers to Sri Lanka for a period of 30 days or less. It is a quick and easy online procedure that can be completed from the comfort of your home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I submit an eTA request?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Go to the Official Site<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for an eTA must be made via the Sri Lankan government's official website, which can be accessed at the following address <a href=\"https:\/\/eta.gov.lk\/slvisa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">https:\/\/eta.gov.lk\/slvisa\/<\/a>. This site is the official channel for obtaining your eTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Fill in the Required Information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the website, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire which includes the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Details of your passport (number, expiry date, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel itinerary (arrival and departure dates, address in Sri Lanka)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal information (surname, first name, date of birth, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detailed address in Sri Lanka where you will be staying.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Download the necessary documents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need to download or fill in the information on the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A copy of your <strong>passport<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>passport photo<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of your <strong>plane ticket<\/strong> or <strong>reservation<\/strong> (if applicable).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
